One-click deploy
StoreCay Starter is a private GitHub repo. After you buy a license you receive a collaborator invite. That gives you source access — it does not make Cloudflare’s public Deploy Button work.
Why the Deploy Button fails
Section titled “Why the Deploy Button fails”Pasting the starter URL into deploy.workers.cloudflare.com shows:
Repository not found. Are you sure it’s public?
That is expected. Cloudflare’s Deploy to Cloudflare button only clones public GitHub/GitLab repos. Being invited as a collaborator does not change that — Cloudflare still fetches the URL as a public clone.
Do not use:
https://deploy.workers.cloudflare.com/?url=https://github.com/caydock/store-cay-starter(or any other private starter URL)
What buyers should do instead
Section titled “What buyers should do instead”Closest equivalent to “one-click” for a licensed private template:
- Buy on storecay.com.
- Accept the GitHub invite to the private starter.
- Fork (or create a new repo from the template) into your GitHub account. Keep it private if you want.
- In the Cloudflare dashboard → Workers & Pages → Create → Import a repository. Connect GitHub and pick your fork.
- Cloudflare Workers Builds reads
wrangler.jsonc, can provision D1 / R2, and deploys to your account.
This dashboard import uses the GitHub App on your account, so private forks work. The green Deploy Button does not.
