No. You buy a commercial license to the starter code and deploy it on your own Cloudflare account.
What is Cloudflare?
Cloudflare is a global edge and CDN platform. StoreCay runs on Cloudflare Pages / Workers, so your store is served from nodes close to visitors — no servers to manage, faster delivery, and built-in protection.
What is Astro?
Astro is a modern web framework built for content and marketing sites. It ships mostly static, edge-friendly pages and only hydrates JS where interaction is needed — great performance and SEO for storefronts.
Are there monthly fees?
StoreCay is a one-time buyout — no platform rent or cut.
You host on your own Cloudflare account: the free Workers plan includes about 100,000 Workers / Pages Functions requests per day, while static pages and assets are served from the global CDN and typically don’t count against that request quota.
For an early-stage store, that’s usually enough for hundreds to tens of thousands of daily page views (depending on how much is cached/static vs dynamic admin, cart, and checkout calls), so you generally don’t need to worry about hosting cost at the start.
Scale to a paid plan later if traffic grows; payments, email, and other third-party services are billed separately by usage.
